MRCPsych revision guides

These books give an overview of the structure of the MRCPsych exams and discuss techniques to improve your revision and performance. They all include examples of typical questions and answers. Much of the advice is outdated because of the new structure of the MRCPsych exams, hence the low ratings.

This third edition of the best-selling study manual for the MRCPsych Examination has been fully updated to reflect the many changes in the examination structure over the past six years. By creating a practical learning programme from the beginning of training right through to passing both examinations, the manual details the techniques required to answer questions correctly, includes practice questions and provides extensive answers and references. It also contains contributions from College examiners. It also provides vital information for trainee psychiatrists and clinical tutors in psychiatry.
Verdict: Worth reading if you're unfamiliar with the MRCPsych exams or just starting your revision. Does not cover the new MRCPsych exams being introduced in 2008.
